This is the 2nd NCL cruise we have taken, and we were expecting it to be E Caribbean, but hurricanes had a different expectation for us. We upgrade bid and ended up with two balcony staterooms, but I will say, not ever again. They were pleasant enough, but really we spend less than a couple of hours out there the entire week, so just not worth it for us. The ship was very much like the other one that we were on earlier this year, only this one was larger. Did not seem too crowded, but we were first to board and we did buy the Vibe tickets. Will say best $100 pp I have ever spent. After the first day, Curly, Rommel 1 and Rommel 2 treated us like kings and queens. Great humor, better drinks and we could not have asked for more. When we sail on NCL again. Vibe is an absolute 100% must buy, but you HAVE to be the first to board. They only sell 70 tickets first come first serve. No kids, no waiting, no stealing chairs, unlimited towels. We felt like royalty. Stateroom and steward were fine, a bit bigger than previous, BUT there is no outlet near the bed, so we had to run an extension cord across the room to next to the bed because I use a CPAP machine. Also a warning. Hand-carry your CPAP on board. Do not check it before boarding the ship. Someone lost theirs on the ship and that would have been terrible. We did 3 dining experiences, Teppenaki, Cagney's and Bayou seafood. Cagney's was #1, Teppenaki close 2nd (only because it was SO noisy) Bayou distant third. So I am NOT a huge steak lover and chose yellowfin tuna steak instead at Cagney's. Was wonderful, but the fillet that my daughter and wife got? Ever put butter in your mouth. That was the fillet. Son-in-law got the ribeye and was WAY more flavorful and much larger and tasted like steak. Recommend getting one of each and splitting. Maybe doing the bites at the same time? Falmouth was pretty much a joke as this is a sterilized shopping area. Grand Cayman that;s the place to be. No excursion here, we just walked about 5 mins east along the road to Rackman's restaurant. Sit out there, eat and drink, take the ladder to the water, get out, eat and drink some more. Food was great! A little expensive, but water was 80 degrees it was amazing. Snorkeled in Cozumel, was very nice at the national park. Last day was supposed to be at private island, but again they bypassed it, said the swells were going to be too big. I personally think they wanted another sea day with the casino open, but that is just me. We went back to Vibe and hung out there all day. Comedy show and the 4 male singers were amazing. Another singing show fell flat (about Harlem). Overall great cruise, nice boat, would not buy the balcony again, not even worth $100 to me
