We found this a great, reasonably priced way to see the Caribbean. In order to see the islands you need to get away from the ports as they are simply full of shops that appear to be the same in each port. Each island has it's own unique beauty that is pretty easy to get to either with a P&O tour or by yourself. We did a number of P&O tours and found them all to be extremely good. We travelled as a group of 8 people. 4 of the group had not cruised before. Some issues that were rather disappointing - a couple of wines that our group particularly enjoyed had run out by end of the first week. As we had purchased a wine package prior to the cruise we were limited to the standard package wine list. There were no other wines that we liked so we had to get a refund on our wine package. Second week drank very little wine with dinner as there wasn't anything that we really liked. All the staff on board were very friendly and helpful and they all work extremely hard. Our cabin developed a leak on around day 10 of the cruise. We had to relocate to another cabin. We weren't happy with the cabin we were moved to for various reasons and we are in communication with P&O to try and get compensated for this.

Overall very enjoyable

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom
Cabin JB C322
This is a great cabin. Centrally located for all parts of the ship. It is also very quiet and you don't hear any engine/docking noises. The balconies are larger on C deck and have a small amount of private space that is not overlooked from above.

  • Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)
Disappointed with this tour. It did not match up to the description given in the brochure. It stated 1 1/2 hour walking tour - we got 10 minutes (self guided) in a church and a brief chat standing outside in the square. We were then lead to a small local artisan market for about 15 minutes which was not mentioned in brochure. The driver was entertaining and knowledgeable.

  • Snorkeling
We all thoroughly enjoyed this catamaran/snorkelling trip. Staff on board catamaran were great and very attentive when we were in the water. Water was not as clear as we would have liked but it was a bit choppy which is out of control of the operator.

Did a Hike to the Seven Sisters. It was excellent. Our driver/walking guide was informative and friendly. Fantastic scenery and opportunity to swim in the pools if you want to. Walk back up to base was quite arduous but fortunately did not take too long. All in all very enjoyable.

  • St. Kitts (Port Zante)
Excellent. A great opportunity to learn some cooking techniques and most importantly to taste some local food which you don't get the chance to do generally on a cruise.

Very pretty location on Pigeon Island. Staff were fantastic and explained everything very well. Safety procedures were good. Unfortunately water was not as clear as we'd imagined it might have been and didn't see that many fish. Guess this is out of control of the company and perhaps it's better on other days.
