We chose this cruise because our family invited us. We did have a lot of laughs with our family but I would not recommend this cruise line. The ship was dirty, as was our stateroom. The shower would not drain which is disgusting! There were blood stains on the walls. Our room steward was very nice but could've paid more attention to small details. They ran out of bottled water halfway thru the cruise, who does that?! The food is awful and the drinks were weak. Every time we would walk by a table it needed to be bussed. We could barely find a clean table. There are a lot of kids on this cruise and it seems they're geared up for them more so than the adults. Because there were so many people on this ship everything took longer than expected especially the disembarkation. they make you hang out on the casino floor (where everyone can smoke) and wait until they call your floor. I don't smoke so I found having a smoking section directly in the middle of the ship to be a bad design. It permiates the entire ship. We had purchased the CHEERS program, upon arrival my husband and I ordered a drink, we were told we had to pay for our drinks on the first day, the program didn't kick in until day 2 of our cruise. That was a shocker it also meant we had to pay for waters, coffee and soft drinks. This is absolutely absurd! The second day we went to order a drink accompanied with a water and we were told we had to wait 5 minutes to get the water! Basically you can't order 2 drinks at a time which I understand if it's an alcoholic beverage but coffee and water? C'mon!! We would never sail on a Carnival cruise again!
