We can count ourselves as "seasoned" travellers and have been on many cruise ships. We love to dance and wanted to try the reportedly "biggest" ballroom at sea. We chose the Princess Grill cabin and had hoped for fine dining in the Grill Dining Room.
This being our first sailing on a Cunard ship we did not know want to expect. But we had sailed on the new Britannia from Barbados and thoroughly enjoyed it, so we thought this British ship may be similar.
Although the ship had been "refurbished" it was showing its age. The suite was nice and comfortable, and the cabin steward was most efficient and attentive. But we had no hot water on 2 evenings and taking a cold shower was impossible. They told us some pipes had "burst." We were unable to flush the toilet on a couple of occasions: we were told there was something wrong with the "vacuum" system. The WIFI was extremely slow: we spent about $600 on internet fees on a 12 night cruise.
Adequate: lots of storage. Great cabin steward who was most attentive.
No hot water for 2 nights.
