Cabin: Club Veranda Stateroom

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and because it was semi all inclusive and it was on a small ship.

We flew into Rome three days before the ship departed. We visited the Vatican Museum, St Pauls, the Coliseum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and went on a short night walk of Rome.

Embarkation went very smoothly. We did not have to wait in a line.

Cabin Review

Club Veranda Stateroom

Cabin had all the basics. Shower was a bit cramped, but I am not a small person and small showers on cruise ships are the norm.

Balcony was nice. Enough room for two chairs and a small table. We used ice bucket to keep our wine chilled. Sitting our our balcony while overlooking the Monaco harbor and enjoying a local white is something that I will never forget.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We have been to Civitavecchia twice. We have only used the port for embarkation only. Since we have no bad memories, the port is great

Portofino

Nice little town. Tender service went well. We took the tender to Portofino in early afternoon and spent a few hours there.

Sete

This was a difficult port to review. It is a working port, I don't think many cruise ships come here. But the town is clean and the locals are friendly. We left the ship after lunch and just spent a few hours walking around. We went into a local furniture/home goods store and the couple that we traveled with wanted to figure out how to ship goods back home.

Barcelona

We did not see very much of Barcelona. Barcelona appears to be a very clean city. We did not see much trash or paper in the streets. We walked down Las Ramblas and visited Parc Guell and La Sagarda Familia. There were crowds everywhere. Parc Guell is being renovated. We would recommend La Sagrada Familia.
