Everything inside the Haven was great, especially the poolside butler Roberto Villacruel who was our Vacation Hero. He always made sure everybody had a drink (or two). The hot tub wasn't too hot so it was easy to spend lots of time there. The current generator for the pool wasn't working but nobody wanted to use the pool for exercise anyway.
Our room butler Renato kept the room tidy, the Nespresso machine stocked (we used it a lot!) and overfed us every afternoon with a variety of snacks that always included a cheese platter and a fruit tray.
Outside the Haven, the ship was ... inconsistent. The Spinnaker Lounge was closed for the entire trip and that seemed to limit the activities offered. So many slot machines in the casino didn't have working sound. Staff in the gift shop took an inordinately long time to ring anything up. None of these things are dealbreakers, of course, but at the end of the trip we just couldn't put our finger on why we didn't enjoy it as much as other cruises.
Slept four adults comfortably. 2nd bedroom is only slightly smaller than an inside cabin, and two adults slept in the pullout bed and said it was the best bed they've ever slept in on a cruise. Shower jets in the main bathroom are more decorative than useful. Couldn't use the bathtub as the porcelain lining was peeling away.
Pool at the port might have been used more if we didn't all just come from a beach day at Harvest Caye. Otherwise the shops sell the exact same stuff as found in Cozumel.
We had a villa for the four of us, and at $400 (after our shorex credit and 10% Latitudes Rewards credit) was the best money we spent on the cruise. Fast, friendly staff, the water was the perfect temperature, the lounge chairs were super comfortable. We felt like millionaires.
There's a market in a converted warehouse right at the port with about 30-40 vendors, all selling largely the same stuff. Very little hand-crafted stuff available. On the plus side, you can really bargain them down since you can find the exact same thing you want with another vendor.
All excursions were cancelled due to mudslides (at least that was the official word from the captain. Coincidentally, election protests had broken out around Honduras that day as well). Did some shopping at the port (Coxen Hole) but didn't buy anything other than a Coke.
Found some bargains at the shops at Punta Langosta.
