We were on the Jewel last May, and enjoyed it so much that we wanted to try the Escape.I wasn't crazy about the layout of the ship. Never felt comfortable getting around except by looking at the maps by the elevators. I also didn't like the fact that there aren't any intimate lounges with entertainment. It's in the theater or atrium.The cigar lounge is a disaster, always overcome by cigarette smokers to make it almost unuseable for cigar smokers.The shows, especially AFTER MIDNIGHT and the BRAT PACK were fantastic. The food was good in the buffet and main dining rooms, but in the buffet, choices were limited. Cagney's, Le Bistro, and La Cucina were excellent. We did the rope course and the slides. We didn't stop at GSC due to a medical emergency after Grand Cayman. We had to go to Cozumel for evacuation, which cost a day. we got credit for port charges. We hope everything turned out ok. Never heard anything. Would I go on the Escape again? I think so. We're trying the Epic next.

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony
Cabin no bigger than a regular balcony cabin. Great shower though.Very little storage other than the closet.

Miami
Easy luggage drop off, went across the street to the parking garage, found a space easily. Walked over to the terminal about 11:30, and didn't have to wait on line for more than 5 minutes to check in, which took about 5 minutes, then we were off to the ship. Cabins ready about 1:30. Disembarkation just as easy. Went down right after the self deparkees, found our luggage with no problem. What I like about Miami is that they always have enough customs agents.
Nassau
Been there countless times. They seem to be cleaning it up, both in appearance and in attitude.We walked around, including off the tourist path for a while, and had no problems, and never felt threatened.
