We are late 50’s boomers and this was our 27th cruise since we started in 2008 and our 18th cruise with Norwegian. We chose this 21-day back-to-back cruise because of the excellent itinerary in the Med and the Canary Islands, but were a little worried about Spirit being one of Norwegian’s oldest and smallest ships.
Our worries proved completely unfounded! This “little” ship is aptly named; as we found the spirit of the staff on this ship to be better than any other we’ve sailed in the past. And she has all the amenities of the bigger ships but without the crowds or line-ups.
Our mid-ship balcony cabin on Deck 10 was perfectly located and we were extremely happy with our cabin steward, Patrick Bautista, who took the greatest care, keeping our cabin clean and well stocked every day. Always smiling and genuinely interested in us, this guy is a keeper! Thanks Patrick!

Deck 10 Mid Ship, excellent location. Super comfy bed and quiet cabin. Larger bathroom. A little light on storage space but we used our suitcases as drawers under the bed. Everything worked properly. Antiquated style wall mounted hair dryer was a little difficult to use and shower water pressure low at times. We were extremely happy with our cabin steward, Patrick Bautista, who took the greatest care, keeping our cabin clean and well stocked every day. Always smiling and genuinely interested in us, this guy is a keeper! Thanks Patrick!
Port Reviews
Malaga
Toured the Alcazaba and Roman Forum on our own. Then walked around the city. Beautiful port!
Cartagena (Spain)
Walked off on our own. Lots to see but unfortunately the Naval Museum and Science Museum are closed on Monday.
Valencia
Took the free walking tour with Valencia Essentials at the Place de la Vergen. Carlos was an excellent tour guide.
