Well said Hoppysmom, got it spot on. This was our 28th cruise and first time on MSC. We were attracted by the very cheap deal, free drinks package and on board spend and we were curious to know why there were so many poor reviews. Cold food, poor service weird entertainment, theatre half empty most nights. We had a quick look and left - all been said already. Dining was a shambles in the Villa Rossa. at first sitting the size of the tables was just about adequate and some tables were empty but extra chairs were being added for second sitting yet people were still being turned away. This is because Europeans tend to eat late. MSC should know this. The entertainment in the bars was poor and loud. In London we have better musicians busking on the London Underground stations (they have to pass an audition to be there). The free drinks package was strange. Each person was allowed three drinks on one card which is new to us. We always made sure we received a receipt to check we had not been charged. Some bars were reluctant to give a receipt until pressed. Then we found two or three extra drinks had been added to the bill. OK so we are not paying but we are assisting someone's scam. In theory, a group of six people could all have free drinks on two free drinks packages. One of our fellow diners went to reception to complain about the service and was told nothing could be done but was advised to remove their gratuities! Wake up MSC!. This attitude was typical of all areas of the ship We spoke to many fellow Brits and Americans and we almost all agreed - never again. We are back on Princess in January - enough said.

Cabin Review

Fantastica Balcony Stateroom
Cabin B2 11104
Cabin good. Some people may need some extra storage space. A bar of soap would have been nice. Cabin steward was excellent.
