I chose this cruise for the ports of call not realizing it was such an enormous ship. There was never any problem finding a lounge chair on deck. That was a problem on all the other large ships I have cruised on.
The theater and comedy club are too small to accommodate all the extra passengers so they replay the same shows day after day. There ends up being half the number of comedy/production shows of your average cruise. This was by far the most disappointing part of the Epic and would prevent me from ever cruising on this ship again. They also require reservations for the shows which is easy to do from the TV in your cabin.
O'Sheehan's is a sports bar with a bowling ally on one side and the atrium on the other. It is hard to enjoy events in the atrium with screaming sports fans in the bar. Can we get a little coordination here?
First you have to put your cruise card in a slot by the door for the lights to work. It would have been nice for it to be mentioned somewhere instead of fumbling around for the phone in the dark calling for maintenance. This was not required on any of the 10 previous ships I have been on.
There is no bathroom in the cabin. There is a shower enclosure for the tub and another for the toilet and a curtain you can pull in front of both. It leaves a small area with the cabin door to the hall on one side and the curtain on the other.
The bed and couch have a bizarre curve to them leaving only one seat with a view of the TV and less head room for both sides of the bed.
Who designed this ship??
