We picked this trip because it was on our bucket list. We were surprised how muddy the Amazon is and how large some of the cities are on the river.

Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth.

Food was as expected and we definitely enjoyed being able to eat from the specialty restaurants in our room.

Port Reviews

Barbados

Booked independent tour for a day pass at the Hilton.

Santarem

Saw the pink dolphins at the meeting of the waters -

Rio de Janeiro

enjoyed time on our own for one day and then we debarked the following morning. We have been to Rio before and had seen all the high spots. On debarkation day, we hired a guide Daniel Cabral to take us to Niteroi and to some local hot spots in old town and downtown Rio. He dropped us off at the Copacabana Marriott at the end of our tour.
