Have sailed on Oceania 4 times before. Once before on Marina. Ship size is small, which is nice. Customer Service across the board is always exceptional. Quality of food on ship is always superior to other cruise lines. Water and soft drinks are inclusive. Itneraries include ports of call that other cruise ships do not visit. Their are no photographers lurking about to always want to take your picture. But you are definitely paying a premium for all of these features. On the Con side- Shore excursions purchased through the ship are extremely expensive. Passengers are often more knowledgeable about the port locations than the shore excusion staff on the ship. Ship transfers are more than double the price of other cruise lines in the same port. There are few activities available on board the ship. Ship does have a very nice libarary area, but the selection of current reading material has declined in the last few years.

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom
Cabin B1 8097
Cabins are smaller than other cruise lines. Closet as well as storage space is smaller than other cruise line balconies. This is probably due to the space that the bathtub takes up.
Deck 8 Inside Cabins, Balcony Cabins, Suite Cabins

Last time I took an electric bike tour with Barcelona Battery Bikes. Tour was great and bikes were excellent. They didn't have availability this time, so I booked with a different vendor. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, but quality of bikes was not as good and maintenance of bikes was needed.

They advertise that center is located near the port. In reality it is down the road in the next city of Los Cancajos. It took me extra time to get to their location and when I did- the shop was closed and no one was there. Very Disappointing.

This was fantastic. They picked me up at the port. We drove down the island to the area where their shop is located. I ended up having a solo Discover Scuba lesson. The Dive Master was very patient and helpful every step of the way. Recommend this Dive shop to experienced divers and new comers alike!

  • Las Palmas (Gran Canaria)
This is a free diving shop that also does snorkeling tours. I was the only person for the tour. Due to the timing of the tides, we drove up the coast to Sardina Del Norte. Owner of the shop, also the Dive Master, was excellent. He was both tour guide of the area and then for the snorkling. The area was very beautiful.

Segway Tour was fantastic. Hop on Hop off Bus was okay. But city is smaller than others and there werent really very many places to get off to see. Commentary was poor. But was easy and affordable to get to Alhambra Palace and see the City.

  • City Tour
Due to concerns over safety, this was the only shore excursion that I booked through the ship. Half of the tour involved driving around the city area and visiting the caves. The second half of the tour was nothing but the guide bringing us to stores that his friends owned where they were trying to sell you things. There was no time available for independent shopping.

I booked this tour for myself and my elderly parents so that we could do it at their pace. Our guide Angel was wonderful. He met us at the pier. We had a tour of the city and surrounding areas and a comprehensive visit to the volcano area. He learned our interests and tailored the excusions to them. This was booked thru Viator.

  • Valencia
Segway Valencia tour. Great way to see the city. Tour guide was very knowledgable.
Also had booked a Transit pass from Valencia Tourist Office. If you are visiting via cruise ship- do not purchase this. You have to make your way to one of their offices to redeem it and there are none located anywhere near the port. We were in this port on a Saturday and most of the Taxi Drivers were striking. The shuttle service from the port to the city center does not run very often and it is not very dependable.
