This was a nightmare. The staff was so rude I was totally shocked. Not a smile or a hello from hardly anyone. The acted like we were an inconvenience to them. Try to get a drink at the bar and you will be ignored unless you tip.There is already a tip of 1.25 included in the price of each 9.00 beer. 9.00 for a domestic beer, what a joke! Oh and 7.00 for water. Are you kidding me? I waited over 20 minutes for a beer while they waited on everyone else and new people that arrived after I had been waiting. The buffet was the worst I have seen. Half the coffee machines were empty (the coffee was terrible BTW) Plates were missing and the salad had all the makings except for the lettuce!!!! This happened several times. It was absurd.

We never made it onto the private island after being herded like cattle into a room to wait for over an hour due to "choppy water" Please, it seems nobody makes it onto their private island from many reviews I have read. When in Belize on the carnival magic in May (THE BEST cruise ship) we were quickly transported to the island. Yes, carnival has their act together. Norweigan does not!

The air conditioner in the room would continually shut itself off so it was uncomfortable. Did I mention my cabin was located under a restaurant so all I heard while trying to sleep was banging noises all night? Read more
