I cruised on the NCL Escape with 4 others. It was a bummer that our original destinations were cancelled due to hurricane aftermath, but I'm sure being a victim to this year's hurricane season was much worse. So consider my blessings counted. The boat is modern and very well kept. The staff that I encountered were all very friendly and helpful especially our stewards. The downfall was definitely the entertainment on board and what was included in your original price for food.

The boat was great! There were three slides for adults and a few for kids on the 17th deck. Two were racing slides and one was a leisurely inner tube slide. The racing slides were thrilling you get in an enclosed tube where you stand on a flat surface on a count down of 3,2,1 the floor drops from under you and you are basically at a free fall. The momentum of the straight shot down carries you over a hill and on down to the finish. The slide is rather quick but definitely exciting. The only issue is some passengers got stuck in the slide (at separate times, only one person can be in a slide at a time) at the bottom of the beginning of the hill. There is a chamber that they can open there so obviously it is still safe and has happened before. Also there is a crew member that stands at that chamber in the case of getting stuck. Luckily I did not know that could happen before I went on the slide and all went according to plan, but I probably would have chickened out had I known that to begin with. The other slide was nice and relaxing in a tube and you barely get wet so that was fun! The adult pool and hot tubs never had small children in it and rarely had teens which was awesome. There was an abundance of deck chairs to layout on. Like previously stated the boat was modern and very clean the whole time.

We stayed in an interior room and my parents upgraded to a balcony. The interior room was great for our stay we wanted a cheaper vacation and rarely spent time in the room. The times we were in the stateroom it was functional with storage for the limited space you had. For my parents balcony it was fairly spacious compared to ours and also had the same functionality and storage. It was a good design for a ship.

Cabin IC

The cabin was nice, clean and functional for our stay.

Port Reviews

Falmouth

The people are pushy outside of the market is scary and inside the market is boring.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

It was fun to shop here. We bought cigars and jewelry and got pretty good deals! The food was expensive though.
