I've been on many cruises...sailed on Royal Caribbean (multiple times), Princess (multiple times), Carnival (multiple times), Celebrity. This is my first on NCL. This has been my least favorite. In fact, I intend to make it a point to NEVER sail on NCL again. Why? Frankly....there's a list of reasons. Among them: a) This has been one of the most disorganized cruises I've ever experienced; b) the crew seemed to have no idea how to manage the guests; c) I traveled with a group and many of us felt we were an inconvenience to the working staff based on facial expressions, lack of service, etc; d) set up and the size of the stateroom were the worse I remember ever experiencing; e) casino set up was among the least comfortable I've seen on any cruise...need I go on? Frankly, I was surprised. I expected better from NCL. I certainly expected it to exceed what I've experienced on Carnival as my perception was that NCL was a step above. I was wrong. Given a choice, I'd choose Carnival next time if I was looking for an inexpensive cruise. One positive note: Our cabin was clean, our cabin attendant efficient. However, another close by was sick w a cold, and many in our party developed colds. Coincidence? I think not.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

The cabin set up was strange...the shower and toilet encased in a frosted plastic "shell" by the door. If the door opened while showering or using the toilet that person would be exposed to the hallway. It was also among the smallest I've experienced. There was only ONE place to plug in chargers and it was ACROSS from the bed and inside a cabinet, not easy to find...and no info shared. Also, the cabin card had to be in the slot by the door for the lights to work, again...no info shared or sign to indicate that...we learned it by word of mouth. ONE positive: the balcony was private. No exposure to the cabins on either side, above or below. That was nice and not always the case on other cruises.
