This cruise enjoyed good weather with a high temperature of 80-83 every day. The water slides were up and running.
The buffet just adequate. I think Golden Corral does better on the buffet, so we ended up with Guys burgers for lunch more often than we would have liked. Early dining was full when we booked the cruise, so we had to get it after the cruise started. Maybe if they moved both dining times a half hour earlier more people would want late. Food quality in the main dining room was ok, but I think it is gradually sliding down hill. Definitely no Chateaubriand there.
Entertainment in the Amber Palace was good, but lacked the variety of the past when they would have shows with say a magician or unicycle, or gymnastic couples. Cruise director C love was energetic, but too often reserved too many seats in the palace for the crew. The casino was always smelled of cigarette smoke.
Cabin Review
Interior
This stateroom gets a lot of noise from the Amber Palace main lounge which is on decks 3,4 &5. The Amber Palace is where the big shows are. The noise is like when a car with a custom mega bass stereo is close enough to vibrate your windows in this case it vibrated the wall. To their credit guest services offered me another room and a monetary credit as soon as I complained because they had records of many complaints for this room. The money never came, but a fruit basket did. The cabin steward Adonis was absolutely awsome.
