This was a Niece/Aunt cruise and we enjoyed every minute of it !! The Fantasy is the oldest ship in the fleet and she is starting to show her age but overall it was a well kept vessel. The crew was very friendly and the bartenders were on top of their game ! We got the cheers package and we were not disappointed at all. They had some amazing concoctions and I think we tried most of them. Day 1 embarkation was a breeze. We had purchased the Faster to the Fun so it proved to be correct, we were on the ship in no time. The cabin was ready as soon as we got there, but unfortunately no luggage. We dropped our carry ons and headed for the fun ! We had the Lido deck practically to our self for about an hour. We perused the lunch selections and settled in. Back to the cabin later to change into some comfy clothes but still no luggage, back to find a bar to chill and wait. The Blue Iguana was our choice. Friendly bartenders and we never had to wait. Back to the cabin after a couple of cocktails and STILL no luggage so off to the guest services desk. They were very apologetic and assured me they would find our luggage. That was part of the Faster to the Fun package that our luggage would be waiting at the cabin when we boarded. 6:15pm our luggage arrived. Yippee, off to dinner. The Celebration Dining room was very nice. The food was awesome and the wait staff was right on time. Juan Carlos was our waiter and he never missed an opportunity to ask if we needed anything. Day 2, Guest Services called and gave me good news !! They refunded the price of FTTF !!! Excellent service once again ! First port was Costa Maya, we shopped at the small village at the port. Bought some t-shirts. They were 4 for $20. we thought that was a good deal until we got to Cozumel (next port) and found them 8 for $20. oh well !! Cozumel had a lot more to offer as far as shopping and entertainment. We enjoyed the day at Chankanaab Nature Spa. We purchased a day at the park for $165 which included buffet, drinks and a massage. The buffet was terrible, you only had a choice of a few different drinks, they were ok, and the massage was nothing more than being saturated with oil for an hour. Would not recommend it. Sea days on the ship was great ! Cruise Director Mikey kept the party going. The shows at night really could use some help, sort of cheesey but it was my nieces first cruise so she thought it was great ! Debarkation day was uneventful, the normal hour or so wait, then stand in a long line and move slowly. But we were off the ship and on the road home by 10:30am and that's not bad. It was another great cruise.
