Having cruised out of Tampa prior to this cruise on Brilliance, we were certain that our experience would have been just as positive. Having booked a Jr. Suite, we were fortunately escorted rather quickly through the onboarding part of our day. Others did not fair as well with waits over an hour prior to check-in. First nights dinner was Chops. What can we say, except delicious. Second night was Giovanni's Table, which actually did not fair as well as other RCC ships same venue. We had experienced the Chefs Table on the Freedom last year and were going to book, but was informed the price rose to $100 per person. We decided to not partake and went to the main dinning room for the remainder of the cruise. We had My Time Dining, but were only allowed to dine after 8:00PM. This really was a disappointment. The appetizers and dessert were fine, but the main courses were a miss. The duck was dry and basically left in tack after two bites. My waiter was willing to bring me a second choice, but I had lost my appetite. The second night, I ordered Sea Bass which was not what I expected and filled with small bones. After that, I just dealt with what was ordered. Seems like the prices on the bottles of wine and drinks as a whole have risen. The gratuity which is also added to each alcoholic purchase is also quite exorbitant, being that gratuities are charged prior to boarding and everyone anticipates an additional tip during service. The shows were boring, the casino was boring with older slots which seemed to do nothing but suck the patrons dry. Onboard activities were also boring during the day. I really felt that the staff as a whole were in training. Some notable stars, but many were just going through the routines of their first contract with RCC. We usually book while on the ship, and have been loyal to RCC for a few years now, but have decided to explore other options. For the amount of money spent on this weeks vacation, we certainly did not get our money's worth. Really think that RCC has slipped a little from my point of view and hope that if and when we do book another, we will be dazzled once again by their magic.

Air ran hard, causing my throat to be sore. Was quite loud overhead from the pool deck. When we pulled back our sheets, the mattress protectors and comforter were stained. I don't even want to think what caused those stains. Does RCC wash those after each guest? Bathtub was a plus. Our attendant Raffy Vidad was awesome.
