Sail Date: Nov 2017
Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We chose this cruise because it went to Aruba and Curacao. These islands are fantastic. Unfortunately, Puerto Rico and St.Thomas are not up to par as of December 1 2017. St.Kitts was the 4th stop and the hurricane damage was less notable.

The Adventure OTS has dated decor and the entertainment variety was unimpressive (aside from the ice show). This level of entertainment is something I would expect on Carnival or Norwegian but I hold RCI to a higher standard.

A new change I noticed was the "service charge" on every drink. Effectively a tip, the service charge is 18 or 20% on top of the list price. In the past it was listed as a tip and there was a line for "additional tip" the change in wording suggests the service charge is not a tip. Although, all the bartenders will acknowledge that it is a shared tip. Enforcing this service charge is extremely annoying and makes the total cost of a $7 beer near $10 after you provide a true tip in addition to the service charge.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

The cabin was a little dirty. We ran out of shampoo and the bathoom fan did not work causing the bathroom to steam up.
