Sail Date: Nov 2017
Cabin: Interior Stateroom

I've sailed on RCI before but it was on Adventure of the Seas so I wasn't sure about how small this boat would be or feel. It was my husband's first cruise so I thought it was a good place to start and not too long of a trip so he could see whether he liked it. We parked offsite at 528 Parking. They were friendly enough but they have gravel lots and are farther from the ship. We will park at the port next time or closer by.

We arrived at the port around 11 am and headed straight to the pool since it was a nice day. Make sure to enjoy the first day on the ship - you've paid for it! My husband went and had lunch at the Windjammer. We got into our cabins at 1pm. My cabin needed the beds separated so we asked one of the cabin attendants and he got, Frank, our cabin attendant who came right over and made the changes. Frank was super friendly and helpful and always nearby, always called me by name when I saw him. We had an interior cabin on Deck 2 (2047). It was MUCH smaller than I thought. I had read that since Majesty is the oldest ship in the fleet that the interior rooms would be smaller but it even took my by surprise. That being said, make sure to get/bring an over the door shoe organizer for the bathroom door to put anything and everything in that would normally sit on the counter - you won't regret it! Also (life saver!) make sure the bring an extra outlet adapter - our cabin only had TWO outlets and they were by the vanity. Because of this pre-planning and trying hard to stay neat during the trip, our cabin was just fine. My husband is a very large man and we still managed to make it work. We were hardly ever in the cabin.

The ship was also smaller than I expected, with less "stuff" to do but they had plenty of interactive activities (and, hey, it's about relaxing, right?) The ship was clean, many areas had already been updated (and it's going into dry dock early 2018) to, hopefully, update the cabins. The other areas were all very well maintained and the crew was outstanding! Always friendly and helpful.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin Q

As above - very small! smaller than other interior staterooms. Only two outlets. It helps to separate the beds since then the aisle has more room than if you leave the aisle along the wall. Very clean, though, and Frank was wonderful!
