I chose this as a quick birthday getaway cruise booked in May for a November sailing.
Embarkation- we drove from Jacksonville and planned to arrive for 12:30 boarding. Due to my poor directional sense and having issues with my GPS we arrived closer to 2p. This was not a bad thing. From the moment the parking lot van dropped us off to getting on the ship was no more than 15minutes. Fastest embarkation every! Did not make you stop to take a picture whilst getting on board either. The ship itself is lovely, classy and elegant without being tacky. Very relaxing environment.
The Cabin-Small but nice, obstructed deluxe balcony, happy with the room since it was a free upgrade but I would have been upset if I paid a regular balcony fee for the room. Our room steward was phenomenal. Always greeted us with a smile. Was able to get us an extension cord for a piece of medical equipment and always kept our ice bucket full. I wrote his name down on a piece of paper but I can't find it at the moment since I am still unpacking. I will call princess if I have to so he gets due credit, rest assured we gave him a generous tip.
The cabin was surprisingly small but clean. Lots of closet space but very little shelf space. Room safe was the punch code kind (much more convenient when sharing a room) and not the kind where you have to swipe your license/credit card. View was obstructed but only in the sense that there was a life boat just below the balcony. You could still look out to the ocean. Since I booked an interior and was upgraded to an obstructed balcony I have no complaints and grateful for the upgrade!
