Mostly excellent entertainment...but everything else fairly average.

With 9 Princess and 5 NCL prior sailings I consider myself to be fairly well seasoned in cruising. This was our first sailing on Royal Caribbean. My husband and I booked it about 2 weeks prior to the cruise.

We booked an outside view guarantee and were very satisfied with our stateroom 8124. The room was fairly spacious (for a regular room) with a large round window and a full width built in bench seat in front of it. We used that area for our damp swim suits. The bed was comfortable and I liked the fact that the end is slightly rounded making it easier to walk around it. We could have used a few more drawers although there are a number of open shelves inside the closet. The shower had really good water pressure but it would be nice if the hand held shower head had a sliding bar. If I wanted to shower without washing my hair I had to wear a shower cap. I also liked the built in night light feature of the bathroom light. Our room steward was good and provided ice each day per our request. There was no lotion in the bathroom so when I had used up all of mine by the 5th day I asked for some from the steward.

The ship itself is nice...although we were still discovering new areas by the end of the week. Central Park and the Solarium were our two favorite areas. There are plenty of elevators however they frequently passed us by.
