Embarkation: We had come from the UK and spent 4 days in NYC before flying down to MIA - We found the celebrity team easy to find however it was disappointing that they were only expecting 3 of us not 4 - They did however let all 4 of us onto the coach. After waiting 40 mins for a coach to take us we discovered we were the only ones on the transfer!! (Eco friendly?) - Once we got to the check in area we found passing security and the check in process easy.
The Ship:
The ship was cool! - Very well kept with staff cleaning it 24/7 - It has a range of decks with activities for people of all ages. The ship did seem very rocky but that was presumably a result of sailing in the Atlantic - We were with people who had done a med cruise on the same ship and they said it was much more stable.
Standard cabin - Very few TV channels however we did enjoy the navigation and bridge view to check the weather etc
More free on demand movies would be useful
Pounced on by what seemed like every local - Not much to see in the town - Certainly one to do an excursion on!
Walked along to Brownes beach and had a good time there - We found shade, a bar, food and wifi - The beach was stunning and the sea was warm. A mix of locals and tourists made this seem like a very safe space and we had good fun!
We sorted out our own 2 hour tour - It was fantastic - We went all around the island visiting a number of stops!
We got the boat over to Pointe Du Bout where we found a lovely beach - Not many tourists and lots of the crew seemed to have done the same thing - There are two beaches the one on the left is much nicer!
We got a taxi to Dickenson bay - The taxi driver wanted to take us over to Exchange bay to make more money however we stuck with Dickenson bay - It was friendly and had a bar and loads of water sports etc
