First time Crystal Cruise...”Amazon Escape” Oct. 27 - Nov. 20, 2017 (24 Days)

The Embarkation Process was disorganized & confusing...it took nearly 3 hours...Wasn’t a good start...apparently, the Crystal Cruises Headquarters decided to drastically reduce prices to fill the ship...this cruise required a Brazilian Visa and a Yellow Fever Inoculation...Which meant, several hundreds of guests, unable to meet the aforementioned requirements slowed the process for those who booked and paid a much higher price to have to wait...this could have been handled more efficiently and professionally...

Once onboard, our Penthouse w/ verandah (PS Cat.) was very well appointed...we had fabulous room attendants (Anna-Marie and Raylene)...superior service was provided all around the entire ship...

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite with Verandah

Cabin PS

If the rest of the ship gets the refreshment that the Suites display...WOW! This ship will be difficult to beat in opulence...We had just over 500 sq. Ft of space; which provided ample area for a sitting & dining area for two. Our sofa made out into a “not so comfortable” full size cot...which I got to experience nightly; because my travel partner saws forests. There was a separate water closet outfitted with a bidet...the shower stood alone separately from the Jacuzzi Tub; double Marble sinks with wall to wall Mirror well lit bathroom...and switch to hear the TV...There is a light system that allows the guest to turn on all the lights in the room to just a few...All with a dimmer switch for Dining Mood lighting...very cozy atmosphere. I enjoyed the Self Service Launderette convenience and access to the elevators at Mid-Ship...

Port Reviews

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We went to the Botanical Gardens, Caribelle Batik Shoppe on our own...we hired a taxi for 2 hours around the island

St. Vincent

Dingy & hard to navigate this Port of Call...we spent an hour then returned to the ship
