Firstly do not book in advance with RCL, prices drop the closer you get to sail dates, we had a suite and paid well in advance and could have saved heaps if we had waited.

The ship staff, crew, and food were excellent and it is rare for employees to be let down by their employers, but this appears the case for RCL. It seems a decision was made by RCL to pay attention to share holders at the expense of it's customers all the little add-ons throughout the ship was sad to see! having a suite doesn't give that special feel that one gets on other cruise lines, e.g. a complimentry bottle of water !! woop de doo !okay the ship is geared toward families, but kids on the suite zone sun deck, kids running around day and night, no peace in the speciality restaurants either, why they do not have a curfew say at 21.00 hrs to allow other passengers and the parents a break I do not know !. if you buy a drinks package they still try and add on charges for over $13 cocktails ! if you buy a restaurant package you still might not be able to get in your choice of venue as they get so full ! we bought the whole 'Ultimate' shebang and could only use the dining package 4 times...waste of money! RCL missed out on showing they care about the environment by not having electric vehicles on RCL exclusive (private) destinations.

RCL have become penny pinchers, do not communicate at all on queries, and lets all the extreme hard work their staff do down ! roll on Silverseas and Oceania, we won't use RCL again ! sad !

Cabin Review

Grand Suite with Balcony

Cabin GS

The new ships Grand suites have added this partition/dividing wall...not a fan of this, I suppose its to make it more comfortable for families, but as a couple it just takes away the old spacious feeling they have on older ships, a TV on either side is wasted as the lounge area is so small with the big coffee tables that we never sat on the sofa at all! Bathroom was lovely, twin sinks, good shower (over bath) plenty of room, bit a continual whining noise from plumbing/air flow..not really identifyable!
