My husband and I are in our 60's and this was our third cruise on the Pearl. We have cruised other lines and other Norwegian ships but the Pearl is our favorite.

This cruise had various things that attracted us. It went out of New Orleans which we had never been to and also went to some ports would never had seen otherwise like Santo Tomas, Roatan and Harvest Caye.

We flew in two days before to give us a full day to see a little bit of New Orleans. We had breakfast at Cafe Du Monde, walked Royal Street visiting the St. Louis Cathedral, had lunch at Antoine's and then visited the WW2 museum before heading back to our hotel which was the Marriott across the street from the convention center. The highlight was the $20.17 lunch special at Antoine's with their 25 cent cocktail special. We had the shrimp etouffee and it was fabulous. The Marriott is in a great location as it was clean and within walking distance of the cruise port.
