Always like to cruise in November when it is quieter. We enjoy Celebrity and haven't visitedSE Caribbean. Because of recent hurricane damage- ports were changed twice, so wevisited St Kitts,Barbados (recommend Tynisas Taxi Service for a city tour and transportation to the Concorde Museum) St Lucia (recommend COSOL Tours- excellent all day tour with snorkeling, waterfalls, local food, drinks, volcano and mud baths) Martinique and St John Antigua. Solstice Class is very modern, with many private areas on the ship. But so missed the hydrotherapy pool on the Millenium Class ships. The ship is bigger- more people- more crowds at buffet and venues. Clean ship. Next cruise, back to Millenium class even though the ships are older.
Food in main dining room was usually excellent, Activities were typical for Celebrity. Shopping on board is no longer fun- everything is very high priced and very upscale.
Very smooth embarkation and love the walk-off disembarkation
Cabin is configured very well- closet is not in the walkway like many others. Large veranda with two chairs and table, Quiet, comfortable bed Excellent service, clean
Wait staff and room stewards were very attentive and work very hard to make everything just right. We did not try any of the specialty restaurants, but enjoyed the OPUS dining room all but one night. The menu is similar on all the Celebrity ships, but that's a great way to be able to enjoy your favorites from their chefs. Miss the "black and white "shortbread cookies at the coffee cafe, but those cranberry macaroons are yummy. Lunch at the Opus was a good change from the buffet. The hamburgers at the outside grill on Deck 15 were excellent with grilled onions and mushrooms. We looked forward to the "ice cream flavors of the day"
