We saw this Cruise listed in one of Scenic's brochures and thought this was a little different. It was a unique experience and were fully occupied by our Tour Director Raquel. The villages and port making establishment visits were well balanced as was the whole trip. Having cruised the Danube and Russia on Scenic's boats as well as the Inside passage, this cruise was very contrasting both in the scenic sense but culturally. The were able to interact more closely with the locals than ever before. Although the growing of grapes and the making o port was much of the focus of this cruise, and there was certainly no shortage of beautiful ports, the beauty of the countryside was stunning. So too was the attention paid to detail on the Scenic Azure that was equal to previous Scenic River Cruising boats. We concluded our tour by saying "we could easily live here". Our River Cruise was preceded by a 3 night extension in Lisbon that is really worthwhile with plenty of time to "do your own thing". Don't wait, just do it!
