Thanksgiving Cruise 2017 on the Epic was the worst cruise we ever took. We have travelled with Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Norwegian in the past. We will never ever take Norwegian again regardless of the many perks they offer, such as free gratuities, drinks, wifi etc. What a joke. Instead of embarking at lunch like we always do, we were unable to board until after 3pm. Thousands of people stuck in the port for hours, waiting, waiting, waiting. The port reached capacity and there were hundreds left waiting in the Florida heat outside. No meals offered. Once on board, luggage didn’t arrive till after 9pm. The room set up is the worst we have ever seen. Definitely not made for a family. Tiny bathroom on one side and a shower on the other. Sink in the cabin room. Balcony was reasonable size. Bed was made for a hobbit. Our feet hung off a foot of the bed the entire week. The service was diabolical. The dining room Taste was a terrible experience, no set tables, no set dining time, no set waiters. Get in line early! O’Shehans bar was just as bad, in fact worse for service. We had to get our own drinks at the bar opposite because they hadn’t even come out until during the main meal. The shows are a repeat of last years. The Pricilla show is just wrong for a cruise ship show. Burn the floor was sexually provocative. Come on NCL , families like to attend the evening shows. Your shows suck compared to RC and Carnival. Our cabin rooms were not clean until after 3.30 pm each day. Every ship we’ve ever been on usually gets that taken care of before noon. I honestly can’t think of anything much positive to say, when you’re all anxious to get off the ship at the end of the week , that says a lot about our experience cruising with NCL this year. The ‘easywalk off’ at the end took over 2 hours..that’s not easy walk off, lining round deck 7. I would never recommend NCL. RC and Carnival here we come!
