We chose this cruise because we like to cruise and this is the only 7 day cruise available in Hawaii.

First time in almost 15 cruises that we had to carry our own luggage through the terminal to the conveyor belt for loading on the ship. The policy of not allowing you to carry a bottle of water on the ship is ridiculous, I understand the no liquor, but water I do not understand.

Overall the ship is in good condition. Our balcony cabin was what we expected and there was adequate storage in the cabin. We finally meet our cabin steward on Thursday, but there was not a time that we needed him so we were fine. We ate our breakfast in the Aloha Cafe, buffet each morning and we always found the selection had something we wanted. Probably the best item was the made to order omelet station. They definitely need more than one person preparing omelettes. The wait some times was at least 15 minutes or more. I carried ziploc bags and a soft sided cooler so that I could prepare sandwiches from the buffet that we carried with us on three of the days. I asked for mayonnaise from one of the attendants and only one time did one told me they did not have any. Our evening meals were in the two main dining rooms except for one night we ate at the buffet. We are not gourmet diners but we both felt the food was just average or a little below. Only one night were we ever offered any wine or asked if we wanted to see a wine list. This is a very port intense cruise so most evenings after dinner we were tired and went to our cabin to relax. We did see both of the shows of the comedian, he was very good, but trying to get seating in the Mardi Gras theater is awful...not set up for maximum seating...we also saw the tribute to the Eagles...we enjoyed the music...We rented cars at every port but Kona where we booked the snorkel trip because of the need of a tender time. It was a good trip with a friendly fun crew.
