This was a 5 day, Thanksgiving cruise on the Valor for my daughter, son-in-law and their 2 boys (ages 3 & 6). It was a first cruise for them (except my daughter had been on one cruise years ago). I've been on many, many cruises with various cruise lines but had not been on Carnival in years. We had a great time. The ship had events related to the Cat in the Hat, including a brunch with Green Eggs and Ham and a parade with story time and characters in costume. The kids loved the kid's camp and the ice cream! We left from Galveston and only had 2 ports of call, Cozumel and Progreso. The kids found a beach at both locations and spent the days in the sand and sea. (I had a spa day!) I would recommend this cruise to families with young children. I heard that the Valor was an older ship, but it has obviously been upgraded in the last few years.
