We cruised on the Celebrity Silhouette on a back to back cruise, which afforded us 27 nights on this great ship. We were in Aqua Class and ate in Blu every night, where the staff was outstanding along with the service. Our waiters, Samsul and Mertha were the best we have ever experienced. The staff everywhere on this ship was outstanding in every way from the bar waiters, to the bartenders, the shop staff, the art gallery staff to the Oceanview Buffet staff. The officers were always visible and friendly as we had many great conversations with them which enriched our trip. The ship is beautiful and very well maintained. The ship is continually being cleaned which added to the beauty knowing that every window, mirror, railing, etc was always as clean as possible. The Cruise Director, Sue, was the best I have enjoyed on my previous cruises. She is elegant, funny, talented and top of her profession for sure. Our cabin was beautiful and spacious. There was so much on the ship to enjoy, we did not do everything during our 27 nights.

The only negative our vacation was our experience with, the Activities Manager. She seemed like a fish in the wrong pond so to speak on Celebrity. We witnessed her, being condescending to her activities staff on numerous encounters and even experienced it for ourselves personally as we were disembarking the ship, when she was rude to my husband, who is handicapped. I said to her that I would report her to Celebrity, when she informed me that she did not care as Celebrity would not do anything about it and she could care less what I said or did. This was the last 30 seconds of our month long vacation on this ship and really upset me as she was ugly to my husband at the same time we were having our cruise cards scanned to leave the ship. I have had trouble sleeping for the past fews night thinking of how my husband must have felt having her talk to him the way she did and treat him the way she did because of his mobility disability. She talked down to him and was very condescending to him just like she had been to her employees throughout this cruise. I know Celebrity really strives to score a 10 on every category and they did with us except the Activities Manager. If we cruise again with Celebrity, I will do my best to ensure we don't cruise on a ship that has her as an employee. I hope we never encounter her again.

Celebrity really is a great cruise line and this ship was beautiful and our month long stay on her was relaxing and enjoyable. The food was wonderful as well as the service in Blu, the bars, and the buffet. The buffet really went out of their way to have a great variety of foods every day along with traditional favorites we came to enjoy and appreciate. Read more
