We chose this cruise so that we could sail thru the entire Panama Canal locks from Atlantic to Pacific. It was a fantastic experience and I urge everyone to do it. The ship was a nice size, 2100 folks, but very elderly.....many with canes, walkers, oxygen, etc. So sometimes it was slow moving around the ship. I loved the ports, especially the Mexican ports, and the food in the dining room was fantastic. Don't hesitate to do this cruise if you get the chance. The cabins are smaller than on some of the Solstice Class ships, but with a balcony, you still have a nice room. I would recommend doing excursions from the ship for Guatemala, Colon Panama, and Columbia, as much for safety reasons as anything else. Some of the logistics of the shore excursions from Celebrity were not the best. They brought all the excursions back at one time in one of the ports, and folks had to wait in line for over 45 minutes to get back on the ship in the hot sun. They were even passing out umbrellas to keep folks cool. That was probably one of the few negatives that I remember.
