Our first trip on the Royal, but we cruised three times on the pretty much identical Regal Princess. We did not and do not have a thing to complain about or any regrets about taking this cruise at all!! The ship, and we spent time in 95% of the ships public spaces we always very neat and clean and we always found everything to be in good working order. We booked a deluxe balcony on deck 15, mid ship (we enjoying being up higher and would recommend it to other folks. We did an interior on one of the cruises on the Regal princess and found we enjoy the balcony a lot. The cabin was very comfortable indeed, always clean and was well maintained. It will be nice when all the princess ships get the new beds, we are looking forward to that. We do go on quite a few excursions, but we do enjoy sleeping in and relaxing as well. We are on vacation after all...... The dining options on Princess are many, we enjoy good Italian at Sabatini's, great grill at the crown, great options and choices in the Anytime dining rooms for a more upscale experience and the Horizon court and Bistro, We found the food to be pretty darn good. We have traveled around the world many times and we feel Princess does a real good job with dining options. There are many different on board entertainment options and we found most all to be of great quality. We also found the service overall to be excellent. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. It helps if you approach with a smile folks..... The crew is attending to 3500 passengers. it may take a moment... We have been on over thirty shore excursions with Princess all around the world. No gripes what so ever!! Just recommend you really read the details of the excursions and compare all of the different ones they offer. All of the options are not for everyone. Relax, be on vacation
