Initially booked the cruise to participate in MasterChef events. However, once onboard, found out that because we didn't book through Life Journey's/MasterChef site, couldn't participate any of the Ala-cart events unless we wanted to spend an additional $900, plus have our reservations cancelled, pay the cancel fee, and rebooked through MasterChef.
This was very poor information. Seemed the MasterChef was a solely booked charter, and we weren't able to do anything with them. Poor communication from the MasterChef people to Holland American and for Travel Agents, since our Travel agent didn't know anything about this either.
Despite that, the cruise and staff itself was amazing. Holland America Eurodam is a great ship, great food, and staff! Had a Signature Suite which was beyond expectations, however kind of a bad spot as we were next to the cross-over corridor, and outside elevators. So kept hearing clicks, carts, and people continuously walk past the door. Was a good location to get on to the elevators though! LOL
As mentioned early, great room, however bad location for lots of outside noise from passersby and carts in the morning for room-service, and next to middle-outside elevators, so always hearing it go up and down.
Cool finds were night-light in the bathroom when you turn off the lights, and hangar rack lighting which automatically turned off without movement, and turned back on with movement.
Bit rainy on our visit, but nice to visit and see the NASA items on shore.
Very beautiful spot, fun to take the tenders back and forth. However, a little upset that the bars started closing up their areas 90 minutes before last tender was suppose to go back for passengers.
