Most of the costa cruises depart from Savona port, northern italy, so if you fly to milan, you get a nice 2 hr scenic coach ride to port, with great shots of the alps, and fab views through hills and tunnels.

Always go all inclusive, Costa probably do the best deal, approx 20 to 30 euros per person per day, and its WORTH IT! Compared to other cruise lines that want $70 PPPD! How exactly does one get value from that??
