Pretty ship, clean rooms, nice ports, not so much on the food...

We chose this for the port stops, which were changed due to the storms in September. Overall, the subs worked out for us, because we got islands that we had not yet visited. Our cabin, B530, suited us just fine. Our steward, "K", was top notch. The only issue was with the door lock. It malfunctioned several times, including a total of seven visits to the guest services folks for new keys...same question EVERY time..'did you have this near a phone or electronic device?". Nope. Not near the phone, because it had been tucked in the safe upon embarkation. Finally, our lock was reprogrammed and we continued to have issues. As frustrating as it was, we had to laugh. Guest Services saw us coming and just knew why!

Ports-Aruba, Bonaire, Grenada, Martinique, St. Thomas and Princess Cay. We did independent trips in Bonaire (Bonaire Vista was excellent) and Martinique (Karambole Tours-excellent), and PCL sponsored trips for Aruba and Grenada simply to use the onboard credit. The St. Thomas stop may have been a bit soon, IMO. We opted to walk around the port a bit rather than go inland. We could see some damage in the port area and decided that we'd rather keep the good memories of St. Thomas rather than go ashore this time.

Food-we had anytime dining and only had to wait a couple of times, and I think that was due to our request for specific servers. We found two servers that were just awesome, Karla and Jose, in the Symphony Dining room. They were worth waiting for. As far as the food quality, it was just okay. We cruised on PCL ten years ago and had recalled the food on that trip being of much better quality. We surely did not go hungry, but didn't have any wows either. We tried the buffet a couple of times and came back with the same impression-just okay. We did see the same food being served in the buffet and dining rooms, even on the lobster night. The International Cafe was a nice little stop for snacks rather than up to the busy buffet stations.

Steward was great, K. Location was very quiet, almost equal distance from the mid and aft elevators and stairs. Laundry was close by. No noise from any of the nearby areas.

Lighthouse, Alto Vista Chapel, drive around the island and a break at Eagle Beach.
