We went out of NYC because we live nearby and the cruise was going to several islands we have not visited. Check-in was fast and smooth. Then things went down hill. As the ship left port there was a lot of vibration through out the ship. We never felt any thing like this on any ship before. We were advised that there was an issue with the ship's propulsion system about a week later. This vibration caused a knocking noise in our cabin that disturbed our sleep the entire cruise. After a maintenance man heard the noise he said there was nothing he could do. We were offered a change of cabin but with our friends next door and having unpacked we declined, so the Guest relations manager insulted me by giving me a pair of ear plugs saying here use these. This caused another change to the itinerary where we would return to Barbados and we would be flown back to the NY area. Some people would be leaving on Friday and some on Saturday. All luggage had to be out for pick up on Thursday night by 10 pm, and check out with Barbados customs would start around 1 am Friday morning and continue through to around 7 am. We had to disembark at 5:30 pm Friday for a 10 pm flight home. No announcements were made to disembark even though we were told they would be made. We had to carry warm clothes with us as it was very cold in NY ( but it was 95 degrees in Barbados). We had to pack everything that we could not carry through security so we were without essential items for over 24 hours.

Having taken many Norwegian cruises in the past we found the quality of the food to have declined. We had numerous issues with the food in the main dining room.

The ship was clean and the people were friendly and helpful (except for one), the shows were good and the music around the ship was very good.

Cabin was very clean and well maintained. We had a tub/shower which was very nice.
