After needing a break from day-to-day life, we chose to set sail with the MSC Sinfonia for the second time. As expected, the vessels and its crew upheld the quality and standard of the MSC Group, as they have accomplished to entertain us for the entire duration of the trip.

The staff was friendly, and the food on the ship was outstanding! The prices are a tad-bit expensive for persons not buying in US$ by default, but nevertheless, it was realistic pricing.

A huge compliment goes out to the entertainment staff, under the guidance of Cruise Director Stephen Cloete, who has yet again succeeded in delivering world-class performances on-board with an outstanding cast and crew.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin O1

The cabin was neat overall, and spacious for two persons. The bathrooms are a little bit too small for comfort, but still usable. A television and a telephone was available in the cabin, and WiFi signal was good. The cabin was advertised as "partial view". Upon viewing the cabin for the first time on-board, the entire view was obstructed by a life-raft.

Port Reviews

Durban

The check-in and embarkation process is MUCH faster now than it was previously. It took us about 40 minutes from leaving the airport with a shuttle, clearing through customs and border control, to boarding the ship.

Portuguese Island

It was pleasant on the Island. The tourist area has enlarged quite a bit since last being there.
