This is my third Celebrity Cruise (2nd on Reflection). I have switched from Royal to Celebrity because "Celebrity is what Royal will be when it grows up". Service and food are much better.
We sailed from Fort Lauderdale on November 3rd. Stayed one night at Rodeway Inn. For the price, Rodeway can't be beat for one night. They offer free transportation from airport and to seaport. Had problem with checkin as woman who was checking us inn had to stop every two minutes and answer the telephone. Most annoying. We were travelling with two other couples whom we have sailed with before.
When we got to port, and ready to check in, I received another surprise. had booked this cruise 22 months in advance and picked out the exact cabin lI wanted. Midship, close to elevator, and right above Cafe el Bacio. To my surprise, they had decided to "UPGRADE" me to one higher level.. Normally that may be a pleasant surprise, but the cabin was at the very back of the ship, six miles from nearest elevator. With a bad knee and heart condition, this was not acceptable. Plus my luggage had my old room number on them. To their credit, they did change my cabin to midship, one floor higher than origina. Once my luggage and shore excursions paperwork caught up with me, things were back to normal. In the future I will request no upgrade. If I had wanted one, I would have booked one. Ended up in balcony cabin 7217. Had great cabin attendant, Luis. Fantastic service there.
had every thing that two people needed. I brought extra hangers (8 for a dollar), and left them for the next guests. Luis, attendant was excellent.
