We chose this cruise because we received such favorable reports for Royal Caribbean plus I had sailed Royal Caribbean before. We sailed on Freedom of the Seas and did have a wonderful time. However, we felt the service was a bit lacking, from no name on the card with the gift we received, to the lack of service in the formal dining room. We had to pull teeth to get a 2nd glass of water and coffee with our dessert the first night we dined in the formal dining room. Also the dinner in the formal dining room was barely warm and not very tasty.

Another problem we had was room service. I ordered room service for breakfast the night before for 7;00 AM and it never arrived. We had to scurry to the Windjammer for the buffet breakfast before meeting for our excursion at 8:15 AM.

The specialty restaurants, Chops and Sabor were just excellent. In looking back we should have purchased the specialty dining package and forgone dinner in the dining room all together.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

The cabin was very clean and very comfortable. However, I stored my luggage in a corner not finding another storage area. Upon leaving I found the fold up shelves in the closet which I feel the steward should have advised of.
