Celebrity Equinox Cruise Review by Fun1s
We took a Celebrity cruise back in 2014 to Alaska, and it was amazing, everything was top line, the service, the food, the ship. This ship seemed a little boring, no dancing at the sail away party, you couldn't dance because they have this water feature in front of where the band plays, and if they do turn the water off, there are holes, and the floor is very slippery. Pool bar was lacking in drink service, it was a great way to meet others since the area around the bar was usually 3-4 people deep. We ate in the MDR the first nigh and my "New York Strip Steak" was less than 1/4 inch think, it was grey, and had no flavor, the burgers from the pool bar grill were thicker than this steak. 5 out of 6 nights dining in the MDR we left with our main meal dishes still sitting on our table, never made it to dessert, because the service was so slow. Our last night we asked if we could order dessert first and have it sitting on our table while we ate our main course, I think our server understood his lack of service and attention to us, because he said that would not happen that night, our last night of the cruise. We will not sail Celebrity again, it's not worth the extra money, nor was it as fun as other cruise lines we have taken.
Fun1s’s Full Rating Summary
The room was nice, but that carpets need cleaning, the corners by the door were dark with soil and dust. The couch by the balcony had chunks of wood that had been knocked out of it, and there were stains on the dark out part of the curtains, our phone cord was broken, so when you answered the phone the part that clicks into the phone would fall out and the person calling could not hear you.
