We cruise primarily for the destinations and different experiences. The ship is very nicely laid out and there is plenty of space and things to do for the numbers on board but it is starting to show its age. Cleanliness and sanitization was good, much better than on Carnival Liberty we had just back-to-backed. Balcony cabin 6036 starboard was OK, quiet and clean but showing wear and tear, well maintained. Select dining was fine, managing to get in without wait most times. Impossible to pre-book a time as most had been taken prior to cruise start. Food at buffet and Trellis generally OK but nothing special. Fish invariably overcooked. Enjoyed most of the evening entertainment and the music in the bars around the ship also good, plenty of variety. Beyond Podium Lectures always early, certainly before we had arise and breakfasted. Could have shown some variety in timing. We were enjoying the dance lessons in Constellation with Nacho, but these were suddenly cancelled without explanation after only 2, very disappointing. Booked 3 shore excursions 2 with Celeb, one independent. Getting on and off the ship on Celeb tours was a shambles, big queues to get a ticket before embarking, so much so that some people missed their tours. Getting back on also problematic, long queues taking 30 minutes in 90 degree heat and 90% humidity - lovely. Bought Macallan whisky tasting & wine pairing- top notch and good value, but the organisation a shambles. Paid but did not dates and times, went to service desk who gave times, whisky taste ran on different day, went on wine tasting but it was the wrong one as several running.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B

Cabin 2B

Quiet and kept clean. Showing wear, loose hinges worn carpet, dirty balcony. TV service poor.

Port Reviews

Puerto Quetzal (Antigua)

Antigua, a Spanish town abandoned many years ago following earthquake. Re-inhabited and now a thriving town. Walking tour which was level and easy aside from walking on cobbles. Tour guide good, entertaining and knowledgeable. Places visited were good, nice lunch with entertainment and the jade shop where we had a talk from the geologist who re-discovered the Jade was also very good. Town surrounded by volcanoes, one of which was erupting.
