We had a great Caribbean cruise on the Royal Princess leaving Fort Lauderdale on November 5 and returning on November 15. The embarkation was really very smooth considering the later time because the ship had just returned from Europe. Princess really stepped up and we got on earlier than expected and definitely before the time they had initially indicated. Our cabin steward welcomed us warmly and made sure everything we needed or wanted was there for us -- this was the norm for the entire time we were on the cruise. The two days at sea to Aruba were filled with lots of activities and we found the entertainment to be top notch throughout the entire cruise. We took in three Princess excursions and all were well organized, informative, and enjoyable. We tried every dining venue from Sabatini's and Crown Grill, to Symphony, and Concerto as well as the Horizon Court, International Cafe, and other casual venues. All fit the bill for what we were looking for and service was top notch. The Sanctuary booked up very quickly so we were only able to get one afternoon on the first sea day but we were always able to find loungers in the adult retreat section and certainly, if we wanted too, loungers were available in lots of different areas. We also took in two wine tastings and these were very informative and enjoyable as well. Definitely, we will do this again. Overall, this was a wonderful cruise with a very smooth disembarkation as well. Our only regret - we should have booked a back to back cruise and stay on for at least another 10 days.
