We chose this cruise following some research and wished to see the Northern Lights from the ocean as opposed to land, would have been better to have viewed from the land again.
The Magellan and CMV are best avoided until they can organise this type of cruise, and they are fortunate enough to have a great team of staff, awful management though.
It seemed as though 30% of our time was spent in queues, embarkation was poor with the car park located a distance away opposite Tilbury railway station with a bus pick up service, then when e returned to join the queue a rather excessive delay with the ubiquitous photographer awaiting us. Located the cabin and eventually our luggage arrived, in two separate lots, cabin was very hot and chambermaid showed us how to turn down the heating, a card informed us of our table number and dining time.
Tidy and small with a great chambermaid always cleaned with fresh towels as requested although they were quite small
Very small village with one cafe and shop where the owners were not expecting a cruise ship to dock and had to ring round to get milk, most stores closed for the winter
Highlight of a disaterous tour, wonderful old town
Lovely town with nice locals
Captain missed this port!
Nice town
Docked in an industrial area
Much better value to do your own river tour
What a dump
