I choose this cruise because it was originally going to St. Maarten, San Juan, and Labadee. Two of three were devastated by hurricanes. Our ports were changed, RCI was rude, not that hurricanes are a fault of theirs but their response was less then desirable. Loyal NCL cruisers here but have small children and wanted to take a bigger ship to these islands and NCL only uses small older ships to go to St. Maarten, so we chose RCI for the first time. Big mistake! The customer service staff off and onboard the ship are rude and tasteless. It's as if they are reading from a script. I understand the ports were closed however Labadee was not however they chose to send us to cheaper, MUCH less desirable ports, Cozumel, Nassau, and Costa Maya. If I wanted to pay $4,000 to visit these ports, I would've. The ship was beautiful however had some issues. During rougher sea's it was as if someone was BANGING on our sliding glass door to our balcony. Seems like they have a lot to fix/replace on the boat. The dining was decent, better some nights then others. Entertainment was great! The shore excursion desk staff was absolutely rude and not helpful.
My kids preferred the kids club on the NCL boats we have been on. I just wish NCL would bring their newer bigger boats to more desirable locations.
I'm not sure if we will go on RCI again.
