Chose the cruise because we wanted to go to some of the Caribbean island we had not previously visited and because we had had a relaxing cruise on Ventura last year. We knew early on that we obviously could not go to St Maarten. Storm Brian delayed us by a day and cutting long story short we had 3 days in the Caribbean - 2 of them on islands we know well. No time in Barbados. No concessions of any kind and I would want people to be aware that the holiday you have booked may not be the holiday you get! We felt the obvious slowing up was to save money.

Azura is similar to Ventura which means we were lost less often. We were 'upgraded' to a superior balcony and enjoyed the champagne and chocolates but the balcony never and I mean never got any sun. At times it was incredibly dark in the cabin. Could not sit on sofa - you could feel all the springs. Good storage for clothes and a bath were great. Brilliant cabin steward - thank you Sharon. Apart from Sharon would have preferred smaller more open cabin originally assigned.

We were on freedom dining which was fine except for some very odd desserts. Went to Sindhu for lunch - yum - and for dinner also very good. Went to the Epicurean and it was perfect. All credit to the brave couple who tried to eat outside! The buffet food was so bad that twice we left without eating - but there were people with plates piled very high so we may be too fussy. Verona was a bit better but we really tried to eat in a dining room. Room service was fairly awful. The only time we used it in the evening my food was completely frozen! And they got the order wrong.
