We chose this cruise because we liked the itinerary, the repositioning aspect, fit well into dates we could travel, and we already loved the ship.
It was our first time in a mini-suite and I think we are spoiled now. We will go back to other cabins, but I will try to find deals on mini-suites with more fervor than before.
The food was great. Alfredo's is probably my favorite dining spot on the ship. Mongolian BBQ in the buffet one night was one of my favorite meals of the cruise. I'm grateful for the salmon being on the menu all the time because I tend to go for it a few times every cruise. It's really well done.
Our cabin was great! We haven't had a mini suite before and were a little concerned about being so close to the front of the ship, but it wasn't an issue at all. We would happily choose this cabin for life.
There's so much extra space in a mini suite that it feels luxurious compared to a balcony suite. We played games in our cabin and made use of the extra space. The curtain available to separate the cabin in half if there were extra people sleeping on the other side was a nice touch. The bathtub was pure luxury on a ship. We made good use of it, as well.
There are plenty of drawers in the nightstands and desk, we actually had unused drawers. We put all our clothing in the tower of shelves and closet, and all of the makeup, hair, and personal items in the drawers.
We explored on our own and hated it. This is one port I would never want to visit again. Pushy people, horns blasting everywhere, overall unsafe feeling, and the place with pizza and wifi pretended to have wifi, but didn't. Nobody there got any use out of it. There weren't places near port to have lunch in an air conditioned spot. It was altogether miserable and we went back to the ship early.
We explored St. Kitts on our own. The feeling was safe and calm. We had no issues walking wherever we pleased and found the people to be gentle and kind. Someone in an eye doctor's office near the port even fixed my glasses for me, which was a life saver. I would love to explore St. Kitts again.
