I chose this cruise because I live in Northern Virginia and I could drive to the port in Baltimore. I must say that is a big plus. On other cruises I have had to fly to Miami or FLL and you have to leave either very early in the morning or fly the night before. The Baltimore prices are higher than the Florida cruises but I did not have to purchase airfare and I easily saved a day on each end of the cruise. The Baltimore crowd is definitely older and more sedimentary than the Florida passengers.

The only drawback to this cruise was that due to hurricane damage we went to Nassau instead of Grand Turk. Nassau is nice but I have been there before and never been to Grand Turk and I really wanted to go there. I will take this cruise again just to visit Grand Turk.

We ate one night in the steakhouse. It is well worth the extra $35 per person. Service is outstanding and the food amazing. I have eaten at some pretty expensive steak joints and this one was right up there in quality with any of them. I had the cowboy cut ribeye and I am not embarrassed to chewed on the bone.

Ocean Suite

I booked an extended balcony but about a month before the cruise I got a call that offered me a suite for $200 more. I jumped on it. I don't know if I would pay full price for a suite but the big bathroom with double seats and a separate dressing area was fantastic.
