We did not choose this cruise; we were assigned to it by corporate Royal Caribbean! Some of the ports for the Eastern Caribbean cruise were temporarily destroyed by hurricanes. Within their n"contractual rights," we were assigned to western Caribbean ports for the same week. There were no offers for refunds or adjustments even though Western tours are priced cheaper than Eastern Caribbean ones. Corporate RC has been deaf to our concerns and have even told our cruise advisor to "shut her hole" when she inquired about refunds, credits, or adjustments! The ports of call that we were assigned to were far inferior to the original destinations. The food quality on the RC Oasis has taken a dramatic turn for the worse since our last RC cruise on the Allure two years ago. To say the least, we would not recommend Royal Caribbean at this time until some of these issues are resolved! Onboard, the room attendant was wonderful and most of the service staff in the dining rooms were average. The staff of the Solarium restaurant was outstanding. The "Cats" production was very good. Our grandchildren and children were pleased with the special programs that were designed for their respective age groups. Overall, the value for the dollar was less than anticipated based on previous Royal Caribbean experiences.
